DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT

MY WIFE AND I PURCHASED SERVERAL UNITS FOR OUR NEW HOME. ONE PARTICULAR ITEM ENTERTAINMENT UNIT WITH REPLACEABLE GLASS VS WOOD ON BOTTOM. THE CLIPS USED TO HOLD THESE PARTS WERE MADE OF PLASTIC WITH METAL SCREWS. UPON USE THE PLASTIC BROKE OR BENT. WE REQUESTED THE MANAGER FROM OXNARD STORE CA. TO REPLACE THESE INFERIOR CLIPS. SHE SAID OF COURSE BUT WILL CHARGE 20DOLARS FOR THOSE PIECES. WE FEEL THAT THE EXPENSE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SATISFY THE CUSTOMER. OF COURSE....NEVER GO BACK!

Poor service, poor communication, poor designer recommendations, poor follow up, and poor quality furniture

See above. My experience with Ethan Allen in Omaha, NE, was very disappointing. I ordered multiple items to furnish our new home. Our designer was unremarkable, and showed little interest in our needs. She seemed uninterested in helping us and neglected to represent the products thoroughly and consider our needs. Little effort and lack of information resulted in our disappointment in the service and dissatisfaction for very low quality furniture at a considerably high cost!

User's recommendation: I think you would be disappointed in every aspect of the Ethan Allen experience! If you value quality and durability, choose another company with which to do business!

Unsatisfied product and service

I purchased a Chesterfield sofa, two chairs and an ottoman from Ethan Allen in Indianapolis, IN. $$$ (2020-****) Every piece but the ottoman had issues. The finish was chipping off both painted chairs and was not similar to the finish sample in the store, the sofas tuffs were sloppy and the sofa squeaked. The man they sent to fix the sofa appeared to have addiction issues. It took repeated phone calls and appointments before he finally showed up. The problem was never fixed. $300 delivery fee. Outrageous!!! Customer Service provided minimum help and then washed their hands of the whole situation. I love the old wood pieces of Ethan Allen but will never buy another piece of furniture from them again.

Customer service

Robert Chesnick-owner of area franchise did NOT care at all that 4 months after my order, I still did not have my furniture which had been paid for. He would not take the time to call the manufacturing plant to even try to get me an answer. WORST customer service ever--from the local store consultants to the owner of the company!!! NEVER BUY HERE!

Can't get anyone at Ethan Allen to return calls to resolve my problem.

When we decided to buy my new living furniture I chose Ethan Allen because of their years of experience and workmanship but I was wrong. I know you have some happy customers but you also have many many unhappy ones. My mistake was not to do further research in reading the reviews of your past customers, if I only had read the reviews beforehand and notice how many disappointing customers you have I would never have bought my furniture from your company. I believe one unhappy customer is too many especially since your furniture is not cheap.

Delayed Priduct Delivery

Ordered furniture from EA was told up to 10 weeks delivery. Its now 14 weeks and told they need six more weeks. Canceled order as they have no idea when product can be shopped. They think estimated delivery means whenever and customer loses deposit. Shameful industry as I see similar complaints with other furniture sellers

User's recommendation: Buy used or on floor display. The furniture industry has no ability to project any delivery.

Purchase *** for chest.

Hello, I purchased the Dawson chest a few years ago and lost one of the knobs. The *** is unique and cannot be purchased. I called Ethan Allen Corporate Office and spoke to an employee regarding the missing *** and she asked if I would text her a picture of the *** which I did. Shortly after, she contacted me via text and told me I will not be able to purchase the *** I told her the chest is still currently selling and suggested she call the manufacture but she told me her supervisor told her the *** can't be purchased alone. I am not understanding WHY a *** on a currently manufactured piece of furniture, and that is still selling, cannot sell me a ***

Had to replace 1st set of cushion 3xs and then $800.00 later the best they offer , not living up to even Warranty work!

Chairs arrived unpacked

I exchanged many mails and this is the copy of one where it clearly states my shipment (of chairs) are going to Guatemala. The forwarder just called me to inform that the chairs were dropped off with NO packaging and sent me the pictures. How is that possible for such a long travel?? Never seen before!! No product. no communication.

Order placed in store December 5th, 2020. Today is March 24, 2021. No merchandise received. No communication from EA despite my efforts to reach out via Facebook and email to my design consultant. Customer Service is everything and these guys have zero clue about that. The time it takes to receive this cabinet, I probably could have had a custom piece made and delivered by now.

Owner and Manager

Do you think it is right for an employee of Ethan Allen to offer and friend or customer product at a discount as long as you pick it up at the employees house. I wrote to the owner many times about this incident. He could care less. He would never reply. I even wrote a review on this employee and that employee too retaliation against me. I wrote to the owner.. Did he reply. No. So Anyone that wants to buy furniture a and discount ask the sales person or manager if you get the product delivered to there home and they re sell the product to you can you get a better price !!!!

Waiting for damaged sofa repair

I purchased several pieces of customized furniture ($9K) and was provided with different completion dates. Delivery of the first piece went fine and it was very nice. Delivery of the second piece didn't turn out, it was damaged. I refused this delivery and have been waiting almost two months and no date for completion of the repair has been provided. I have contacted them several times and they said it will take a while. In the meantime, the other pieces are sitting in their warehouse waiting for this damaged piece so that all can be delivered together. I noticed that other reviews had problems with their furniture and delivery dates. I think it is poor practice to leave a customer dangling without some effort to provide a time frame for delivery. These pieces have all been paid for.

User's recommendation: Be aware that even when you are purchasing high end furniture, there is no place to turn to when there is a problem. You are at their mercy.

Failure to stand behind the furniture warranty

ITownsend recliner back failed after 8 months of use and the store refused to replace. They had a local person take the chair apart and it is in the same condition as before. I was told that it was not going to be replaced and that is the end of their responsibility. If my husband needed to use the chair every day then he should have bought a commercial product since all their recliners do this.

User's recommendation: I would recommend buying your furniture at a different store due to poor quality and extremely poor customer service from the sales manager and owner of the store in Baton Rouge LA.
